Originally this was supposed to be a post all about the beginnings of my Thanksgiving weekend (as I am sure you are dying to hear), but I think instead it shall be a temporary farewell.
You see, I have borrowed my friend’s Kindle for the weekend so I can finally read that Hunger Games story everyone is all excited about on account of the trailer made it mighty appealing and also because I have an overwhelming need to always be relevant. As I’m sure you have already figured out by now I tend to get addicted to things very easily (oh hey recent overdose on True Blood). Fortunately I understand my inability to comprehend the concept of moderation so I avoid the things I know I won’t be able to quit. This is the main reason I don’t watch Dr. Who - I know I will love it and then you will never see me again.
Which is all to say, I’m only two chapters in to The Hunger Games and I’m already having a hard time putting the Kindle down. This is going to make cooking tomorrow very tricky. Furthermore, I have begun to suspect that perhaps Amazon has paid my friend to trick me in to falling in love with the Kindle. I have no idea why I resisted for so long (oh wait, yes I do), but you totally win Amazon.
So yes, goodbye real, three-dimensional world. Hello gruesome, scary Panem.
ps. no spoilers please. OR ELSE.
