Hey look! I followed through on something and made it to week two! Go me. High fives for everyone. Except, uh, during the week I kind of kept forgetting I was supposed to be keeping track of things that made me happy so this list is embarrassingly short.

I don’t know what brought this about, but my feminist feelings have been very strong lately (and boy am I glad to see ‘em!). This article examines body image and the ways we demand more “realistic” looking women in film and television only to freak out when we are “forced” to look at women of all shapes and sizes.

“When we dismiss Dunham as a woman in control of her own representation, we hinder our own ability to make decisions about our bodies that don’t come exclusively from social pressures to look a certain way. And who wants that? It’s certainly not doing any of us any good.”

I just love more and more that watching Pretty Little Liars is a thing we are doing as a society.

“It’s fair to say that Lost and Homeland fans aren’t the target audience of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, but they might want to tune in before it’s too late.” [[I'm a fan of all of the above and I say you should watch this show immediately]]

First of all, if you are not reading Nat the Fat Rat, then allow me to tell you that you must remedy this situation immediately. She is without a doubt my favorite of all of the bloggers. Plus she has the most adorable kid named Huck and if you don’t believe me then just watch this video of him singing the hot dog song and die from overwhelming cuteness. Also, you’re welcome.

The more I stare at this picture, the happier I get. From Rory Dobner.

And even though Freud and I would never be friends, I rather like these words. Mostly because I really, really hope they are true.
