I recently learned that Hanson (yes THE Hanson of long-haired nineties fame!) will be performing at Epcot on November 8 – November 9 and it is quickly becoming one of the few things I talk about. But that’s not all! They are rumored to be frequent diners of the very restaurant I happen to be working at currently and just typing that makes me want to start squealing.
Hanson! Eating breakfast! AT MY RESTAURANT!
Hanson! Live! At Epcot!
Here is everything I know about Hanson:
1. MMMBop is the only song I remember, and I still listen to it frequently.
2. When I was eight years old I used to have their album Middle of Nowhere on tape (yes TAPE!) and would listen to it repeatedly while my friend Katie and I pretended to be part of the band. I was the drummer.
3. They have a beer called MMMHops.
4. They were in that one Katy Perry music video with Rebecca Black.
So yeah, seeing as I haven’t heard a single song they have produced since 1996 I’m a little confused as to my overwhelming excitement at the prospect of meeting them and seeing them in concert. I think it has something to do with the fact that I still have yet to see One Direction at the parks and at this point any boy band will do.
But also if you’re reading this One Direction, I would like to kindly request that y’all stop messing around and meet me at Tower of Terror already.
[A VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE] I am a fool and completely forgot the single most greatest thing I know about Hanson! They made the best Christmas album OF ALL TIME. Snowed In. Listen to it. Okay maybe not now, but come Thanksgiving or whatever. It’s soooo good.
Glad we settled that.
